Subject: Summer Opportunity for Students of Mexican Origin – Apply by Friday, May 24, 2019 Deadline

Great summer opportunity for students with parents or grandparents born in Mexico! The Mexican government is looking for California college students to participate in its inaugural 5-week cultural immersion and volunteer program to strengthen connections with Mexican Americans. The only cost for participants is round-trip airfare to Mexico City. Participants must have a valid US Passport (or have proof of application in process). A maximum of 200 California students will be selected to participate this summer and the program is projected to accept 1,000 students next summer. Deadline to apply to the nearest Mexican Consulate is Friday, May 24th — in person, by mail, or by e-mail. See attached packet (English and Spanish versions) for more details, including the application, or go to the website. YouTubeVideo

Please send a list (to susan.reyes@aiccu.edu) of the students from your institution that apply and AICCU will track them during the selection process.
