Outreach Specialist Position at Long Beach City College

Long Beach City College is excited to announce new career opportunities for those seeking work in high education. We are currently recruiting for Outreach Specialists to support local high school students transitioning into our college (also known are direct matriculation). This position will travel to multiple high school sites to help students complete various matriculation steps leading up to course enrollment.

We are seeking students-center, enthusiastic, and diverse candidates who will exemplify professionalism when working with school administrators, teachers, counselors, parents and students. Candidates from this position should be capable and comfortable speaking to large groups with enthusiasm, possess experience collaborating with other professionals to serve students, demonstrate effective organizational skills, and be willing to work on evenings and occasional weekends.

This opportunity is part-time (18 hrs/week) and a short-term assignment. The schedule will vary each week. A link to the job description is included here. Compensation: Salary Range 27 – hourly rate Step A $22.40 – Step E $27.56
