J3 Foundation is an organization that works to address illiteracy in underfunded schools, often those that students of color attend. On this Sunday, October 21, 2018, J3 Foundation is holding a fundraiser to raise funds to provide books and after-school literacy programs. The event will be held from 11-3pm at Calamigos Ranch in Malibu, and it will be a festival of various activities under the theme of literacy. Many families and children will attend and volunteers are needed to make help run booths that range from magic shows, science experiments, and an obstacle course to jntkmate and cozy reading rooms led by authors! Volunteer shifts begin at 10:45am, and break into 3 shifts of 1.5 hrs. There will be free parking and lunch, and anyone can sign up for as few as one shift and as many as all three.
